In 1 Timothy 1:15-16, Paul writes:
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners — of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.”
Paul’s honesty is refreshing. And it’s convicting.
We should never forget the grace that Christ has extended to us. We should never forget where we came from — how we were lost and how Christ found us, picked us up, loved us, and saved us.
Our Savior died a horrific death on a cross so that we each could have a salvation story. Like Paul, we need to share that story with others.
